Statement of Conduct
VOG
A Certificate of Good Behavior (VOG) is also known as proof of good behaviour. It is a statement that shows that someone's behavior does not pose an objection to doing certain volunteer work. For example, if you are going to work with minors or with confidential information. Would you like more information about the VOG? Then take a look at the website of the Justis Service .
Research has shown that asking volunteers for a Declaration on Behavior (VOG) contributes to safety within a volunteer organization. With such a statement, the volunteer demonstrates that he has not done anything in the past that stands in the way of volunteering. By applying for VOGs you make the subject of transgressive behavior a subject of discussion and you also send a signal that you are working on safe volunteer work.
This is a step towards a safe climate within your organization .
From compensation to free for all volunteers
Because of these positive effects, the Ministry of Justice and Security has decided to make an arrangement whereby volunteers from all voluntary organizations can receive the free VOG under certain conditions. This scheme is for all volunteers who work with vulnerable people. Previously, this was limited to volunteers who worked with minors and the mentally handicapped.
There are contact points to steer the registration of voluntary organizations in the right direction. You can go to these contact points with questions about the procedure, the conditions and of course about preventive policy. They are happy to help you to a safe environment within your organization.
