The activity JOIN WITH LANGUAGE is a new activity of Humanitas Zaanstreek-Waterland. The purpose of this activity is to teach people of foreign origin and Dutch people who speak Dutch poorly the Dutch language. The lessons are not given in class but one on one. The participant receives permanent language knowledge, a volunteer from Humanitas, to talk, read and watch television, depending on the wishes of the participant. In the meantime, the volunteer practices the Dutch language in conversations with the participant. The basic principle is that the volunteer spends an average of one to two hours per week with the participant for approximately 4 months, a total of 15 meetings. For this activity we are looking for enthusiastic people who are interested in language and enjoy helping others with their language development. Your role is to guide and coach one or more participants who want to become (better) proficient in the Dutch language.
