So instead of throwing away the caps from soft drinks and milk cartons, why not hand them in at one of our collection points? By doing so, you're not only supporting the training of our guide dogs, but also helping to protect the environment. Together, all the caps collected have generated tens of thousands of euros. From March 21 to October 31, all across the Netherlands, we're embarking on the NK Tegelwippen (National Tile Tipping Championship). Help refugee children through play & exercise

After TeamUp I go home with a satisfied feeling!". ✨ What are you going to do As a volunteer for TeamUp (a program of Save the Children, UNICEF Netherlands and War Child) you offer psychosocial support to refugee children through play and exercise. Through play, children learn to deal with emotions such as anger, fear and stress. You will be trained and supervised in advance and will work at a reception location near you. You are part of an enthusiastic team with other volunteers. At a fixed time during the week, you and your team will guide activities for children aged 6 to 18 years. These activities have a theme and purpose. The activities make children feel safe and protected, more connected to their peers and more optimistic. You also have a signaling role. You learn how to recognize worrying behavior and, if necessary, refer children to specialized care and guidance. ✅ This is you: • Experience in organizing activities for children. Or you have relevant work experience or completed training (or are still studying) in the field of pedagogy, education, social work, sports, games and/or exercise; • Available half a day during the week (3 to 5 hours), from approximately 3.30 pm (day and time varies per location); • Available for a longer period (at least a number of months or longer). We are looking for people who want to replace the carer. Every situation is different. You can indicate yourself what you do or do not want to do. A replacement takes at least 3 days, including the 2 nights in between. Our carers live throughout the Netherlands. It is important to make it a good time for those who stay at home as well. Often a trip is possible. This way you ensure that newcomers practice their language skills and are in contact! With Kletsmaatjes, the Het Begint met Taal Foundation is launching a new, online form of language coaching. You and a newcomer meet every week via online tools such as WhatsApp or Zoom. Together you practice the Dutch language and share what is on your mind. This is good for language development, self-confidence and the network of newcomers and volunteers. -You are Dutch or have lived in the Netherlands for quite some time -You are curious and open to different cultures -You are available 1 hour per week for 10 weeks -You are digitally skilled (the video calls take place online) -You are at least 16 years old -You are interested in language. You don't have to have a teaching background. It's mainly about practicing speaking and listening!
